If I Lost All Memory of 2010

December 15 – 5 Minutes Imagine you will completely lose your memory of 2010 in five minutes. Set an alarm for five minutes and capture the things you most want to remember about 2010.

Ready? Go! Colin going off to BYU for the first time. An awesome family reunion with Daren's family in July. FAMILY. Teaching at UNK. Traveling to Utah. Hanging with Dickie. Weekly phone calls to my BFF. Carrie having Cache. Applying for a graduate program at UNK. Prayers answered. Good Health. Not exercising. Letting myself go a bit. Church. Institute and Seminary. Growing in the area of patience and kindness. Music. TV programs like: "Biggest Loser" and "Parenthood." Monday afternoon movies. Great LDS Leaders. Attending General Conference with Laura and Colin. Pictures in the newspaper. Good town to raise a family in. Watching many good friends move away like the Pages, Praters, Loveless', Lopez' and others. Good Sanitarian Hospital Advisory Board. Being on the Park and Recreation Advisory Board. Jury Duty. Gas at $3.00 a gallon. A loaf of bread is $2.00. A gallon of milk is $2.90. The Dodge Caravan has 230,00 miles. Joining the YMCA. Seeing a son graduate from High School, go on to College and also receive a mission call to serve in the Mexico-Tijuana mission. Lunch dates; Laughter with friends with Pam, Carol, Lanna, Carrie and others. Being there for Carrie when she found out about baby "C." Serving others. Being served by others. The generosity of the dear friends. Seeing Evelyn lose her 60 year old son. Seeing Cameron play football. Watching Laura turn into a wonderful young lady. Seeing Christopher do all the things in high school that I dreamed of. Chris was a "munchkin" in the high school play. He was in the "pit" for band. I am so proud of him. Watching all the kids play the piano so well. Supporting a friend who was going through a bitter divorce. Learned this year to rely on the Lord. Read the Book of Mormon. Strengthened my testimony of Jesus Christ. Read some great books. Presented a paper at a professional conference in Dubuque, Iowa. Started teaching ESL at the Community College.
