Daren's All Time Favorite Quote--The Reason He Married Me!

Since August of this year, I have been teaching a weekly religious class to the Young Adults, ages 18-32 at my church. It has been a very rewarding experience for me! First, I love teaching people about the gospel of Jesus Christ! Second, I love helping young adults make some good life choices when life can be so difficult! Let me remind you that I am no expert, and I didn't married until I was 28...so! I just love being a social director! Always the party planner! :)

As Daren and I were dating he would tell me about a quote that he just loved. After we were married and people would ask about how we fell in love, Daren would tell them his opinion about what "love" is using this quote!

Well, today I got my daily quote from the "Foundation for a Good Life" and it just happened to be the quote that Daren has been using for years. We didn't know where it came from but now have a person we can give credit to! Thanks Ann Landers!

I am thinking of getting a wall hanging or framed picture of this for Daren's office! Nice Christmas present I think! We will see. Daren doesn't read my blog so I don't think it will ruin the surprise by blogging about it here! :))))

So for today, enjoy the quote that Daren says describes our courtship, our marriage and what he was looking for when it came to "love."

“Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.”
—Ann Landers (1918-2002); advice columnist

I've heard you say this before. I am glad I got to read the rest of the quote because it makes it even better.

Katie--

He is opposed to all "open forum" type exchange of information. He doesn't like texting, facebook. blogging and ....he's just a great person...just one of the areas we are so opposite in but still love each other. :)
