Updated Information on Dr. Snyder's Funeral and Memorial Service

I am finding that several of Dr. Snyder's friends and colleague's are reading this post so I want to make sure I get out the information about his funeral and memorial.

This appeared today in the Kearney Hub.--our town newspaper. April 1, 2008

Kearney resident, 58

Omaha--Lewis Leroy "Lee" Snyder, 58, of Kearney died Thursday, March 27, 2008 in Omaha.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Shaw-Davis Funeral Home Clintonville Chapel in Columbus, Ohio, with Rev. John Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

He was born June 16, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio, to Clarence and Georgia (Holton) Snyder. He married Vicki Truitt. Survivors include his wife; and his sister, Sharon Hubbard of Springfield, Ohio.

He graduated from Kentucky Christian University, Missouri State University and Ohio State University. He ministered to nondenominational Christina churches in Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri and Nebraska. He also served churches as an elder and a Sunday School teacher.

He began teaching at the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1986, where he was a professor in the department of communication at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Thanks so much for such a nice tribute to Lee. The services were in Columbus today and there were some wonderful people there for sure. I just wanted everyone to know that Lee was a wonderful brother and I will miss him every day.
